bat bogies

"Yeah, size is no guarantee of power," said George. "Look at Ginny!"
"What do you mean?" said Harry.
"You’ve never been on the receiving end of one of her Bat-Bogey Hexes, have you?"

I FINALLY made a drawing for Wizarding Wednesday because it's Ginny and I love her! Any excuse to draw an animated witch is a good one.

mermaid woodburning

I'm in another art show at the Bottleneck Gallery in Brooklyn!

This time the theme is "It Came from 1984" and I chose the movie Splash, of course.

Check out the premiere this Friday night and see "Madison" in person!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I got you all a Halloween present! It's a brand new webcomic about witches!

That's right, www.broommatescomic.com is finally happening.
Edit: Please find the archived Broommates here!

This has been such a good kick in the pants for me to grow as an artist! I don't know much about comics so this has been a crazy challenge and I love it. I'm seriously so excited. Here's the first page but please check out the website for the rest of the prologue!

broommates

It's official! Dan Fulton and I are making a webcomic!

"Broommates" is a comic following the witches Diana, Sage, and Addison as they navigate the waters of mortal college.

These ladies have been in the works for a while now, and we're so excited to get them out into the world. Dan is doing the writing and I am doing the art. We're releasing the first few pages on Halloween and will continue to update weekly after that. I hope you're as excited as we are!!

Owls!

What are you doing this Saturday Night?!
Why not head over to the Wildlife Learning Center for their Annual Art Auction?
Maybe you can bid on one of my woodburnings!

This is Zeus! He's an adorable blind screech owl that the center rescued.

This is Hercules! He's Zeus' son! But he doesn't exist in real life.

Unfortunately I won't be there for the auction but there will be a ton of AMAZING artists there. All proceeds help benefit these poor animals in need, so please come and show your support!

paper sculpts

Over the holidays I delved into the fantastic world of paper sculpting! I have so much paper and supplies from my scrapbooking days, I needed to do something with them. This was incredibly fun and soooo easy. I'm definitely going to do more! I've always loved paper crafts and it felt so good to be using paper and glue again.

This started as an experiment with Sleeping Beauty for my bestie. I'm pretty happy with it for my first time!

Then I did a Coraline for my sister. This one was definitely easier.

The third one is me, my friend Mitch, and our friend Mike as the Pokemon Gang!

Lastly I created this one for my friend Caitlyn and I'm extremely pleased with how it came out!

Come paper sculpt with me!
